11/11 Clarksburg Country Run: Clarksburg. 5k, 10k, 20 mi., half marathon-PAUSATF Championship. Finisher’s medals & a hot meal after the race. Proceeds benefit Clarksburg youth sports, Clarksburg Fire Department, Clarksburg schools, clubs and philanthropic programs.

1/1 Clikapudi Trail Runs: Jones Valley Boat Ramp, Lake Shasta. 5K, 10K, 13.1 mi. trail runs. During winter months when the small creeks are flowing there are several small waterfalls along the route. Wildflowers are always a treat (usually beginning in late January) as are the occasional glimpses of bald eagles, osprey, wild turkeys, black bears, squirrels and rabbits.

1/1 Commitment Day 5K: Roseville. 5K fun run. Starts from Life Time Athletic.

1/1 Kiwanis Resolution Run: Shoreline Park, Mountain View. 5K, 10K. Fast and flat trails along levees in the baylands.


2/2 Fort Ord Trail Run: Laguna Seca, Monterey. 10K, 25K, 50K routes. Run thru historic Fort Ord & the nature preserve, set aside for the endangered Smith’s Blue Butterfly.

2/3 Super Sunday Run X: Sacramento State. 5K, 10K, Future Stars’ 1K & Pee-Wee 40 yard dash. Run thru the Campus Commons neighborhood and back over the Guy West Bridge to finish inside Hornet Stadium. The 5k course explores the ins and outs of the Sacramento State campus before finishing with a sprint down the sideline inside Hornet Stadium.

2/9 Valentine Run/Walk: Race for Justice. Country Club Plaza, Sacramento. Enjoy a kid friendly, stroller friendly, and canine-companion friendly run! Wear your heart on your sleeves, socks, tutus, onesies and collars to compete for best dressed awards and to show your love of the Valentine Run/Walk. Either a 4 mi. timed course thru Arden park neighborhood or a 1.8 mi. untimed course.

2/16 Buzz Marathon: 5K, 10K, kids’ 1 mi. Camp Roberts Army Reserve, San Miguel. Moderately hilly run over paved & dirt roads w/packed gravel shoulders. A Boston qualifier! Help raise funds for athletic programs at Lillian Larsen Elementary!


3/16 Napa Valley Trail Marathon: 1/2 marathon & 10K. Bothe-Napa State Park, Calistoga. Challenge yourself on the lush singletrack within the park. A challenging course with the hills, streams and rocks.

3/30 Golden Gate Headlands Marathon: 1/2 marathon & 10K. Golden Gate Nat’l Recreation Area, Sausalito. start and finish at the historic parade ground at Ft. Barry, Rodeo Valley. Along this scenic trail run you'll soak in panoramic vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific shoreline peppered with vibrant wildflowers.

1/12 Castle to Coast: San Simeon to Shamel Park, Cambria. Enjoy 8.2 mi. of beautiful ocean view running.

1/20 Women Run LA: Wilson Plaza, UCLA. 1/2 marathon, 5K, 10K, kids run. Run for healing, race for opportunity, walk for empowerment. Open to runners of all genders, ages, abilities! Benefits nonprofits that work to support women & heal from domestic violence.

1/27 Run like It’s Recess: Eldorado Park, Long Beach. 1K, 5K, 10K, Toddler run! Enjoy a pancake breakfast after the run! Top 3 5K finisher in each age group receive medals. All children under 10 years receive a finisher’s medal.

1/27 Sombrero Half Marathon: Rancho Simi Community Park, Simi Valley. 5K, 10K, half. The race goes along the Arroyo bike path thru the center of Simi Valley. After the race, stay for the plate of street tacos!

February 2019

2/2 Death Valley Marathon: 1/2 marathon, 10K. Death Valley Nat’l Park. Out-and-back relatively flat course (fewer than 500 ft. of climbing and descending). You'll admire the beauty of the surrounding desert.

2/2 Save a Heart Save a Life 5K: Embarcadero Marina Park, San Diego. Run or walk a beautiful 5K course overlooking San Diego Bay.

2/2 Chapel to Church Half Marathon: San Ramon Chapel, Sisquoc to St. Louis de Montfort Church, Orcutt. The route begins in Sisquoc on Palmer Rd., Dominion, and Clark Ave to St. Louis de Montfort Church. Limited parking; carpooling is strongly encouraged or use the shuttle service. Medals to participants & placement medals to all runners. An event to support Catholic Charities of Santa Maria.

2/3 Super Bowl 4-miler Santa Barbara: Cabrillo Pavilion, East Beach. A beautiful out-and-back run/walk. Super Bowl t-shirts for all and footballs for age group winners.

2/3 Long Beach Resolution Run: Shoreline Aquatic Park. 5K, 10K routes and be sure to check out the post-race wellness village.

2/10 Mt. Hollywood 12K: & 6K trail run. Griffith Park, Los Angeles. A historic, scenic run w/panoramic views of downtown L.A., the observatory & the Hollywood sign.

2/24 Screenland 5K: Culver City. 5K & Munchkin Dash 1K. Race thru downtown Culver City! Run past the historic Culver Hotel where the Munchkins stayed while filming the Wizard of Oz.

2/24 Awesome 80s Run: Embarcadero Park, San Diego. 5K, 10K flat/fast routes thru downtown San Diego. After the run, get out on the dance floor and boogie to 80s music.



1/5 Resolution Run & Polar Bear Plunge: Southeast Jetty Way, Newport. Half marathon, 10K, 5K distances & dip in the Pacific Ocean.

1/5 Frostbite Run: Talent. 10K, 5K. 5k: Out-and-back on Foss Rd. 10k: Takes the same route as the 5k but adds Adams Rd., Colver Rd. Turn around before Samuel Ln. Southern Oregon Runners,

1/6 Bullard’s Run: Bullards Beach State Park. 1 mi., 5K, 10K distances. Out-and-back thru the trees. 10K turns around at the light house for some awesome ocean views & a salty splash if the wind is up! 5K is an out-and-back halfway to the lighthouse. Ribbons for overall and age-group winners, male and female.


3/9 Run of Two Cities: Mingus Park, Coos Bay. 5K run/walk, 10K run. Hilly and challenging course that hits both Coos Bay and North Bend. Note that while the course is designed to minimize street crossings, there are a few and the course is open to traffic.
